Remembering TV’s The Hitman & Her

Broadcast from 1988 until 1992, TV’s The Hitman and Her travelled up and down the country visiting all of the top night spots of the era.  Presented by Pete Waterman and Michaela Strachan, the show was broadcast as part of ITV’s late night line up.  Long before reality TV was a staple of TV scheduling, the Hitman and Her was ground-breaking in its concept and still brings back find memories to many of those of used to watch it at home.

PWL Host Twitter Listening Party To Celebrate The 30th Anniversary of ‘Everybody Knows’ by Sonia’

On April 29th 2020, the PWL Hit Factory Twitter account organised a very special online listening party to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of Sonia’s debut album, ‘Everybody Knows’.

Along with the PWL twitter team, the party was attended by Sonia, Pete Waterman, Phil Harding and Tony King.  The event proved to be so popular that the hashtag used on the night – #EverybodyKnows1990 – managed to reach Number 5 in the Top Ten trending tags.

Pete Waterman To Host Online Charity Quiz For RNCM

Pete Waterman will be the quizmaster for a very special event for the Royal Northern College of Music on June 2nd 2020.  This online quiz will raise vital funds for the College, plus a quarter of the proceeds will go to their local NHS partner, the Manchester Foundation Trust Charity.   On the night, Pete will be supported by a talented RNCM student offering live music rounds. ‘Better The Devil You Know’ 30th Anniversary

April 29th 2020 saw the 30th anniversary of the release of ‘Better The Devil You Know’ by Kylie Minogue.  Produced by Stock Aitken Waterman, the song had it’s world premiere on BBC TV’s popular Saturday morning show, ‘Going Live!’  One of Kylie Minogue’s signature songs, “Better The Devil You Know” was the lead-off single from her third LP “Rhythm Of Love”and was a UK number two hit in May 1990. The track also featured on the soundtrack to the Richard Grieco film “If Looks Could Kill”  Thirty years later, this track still generates a lot of discussion over on our Twitter and Facebook accounts and is in pretty much every PWL fan’s Top Ten favourites.
